Getting to Arkana Amazon
Located near Iquitos, Arkana Amazon is one of our 3 locations. You can also find us in the Sacred Valley of Peru and Yucatan in Mexico.
A boat ride gets you to our Amazon location.
We’ve invested in a bigger and faster boat, so your transfer will now only take 1-1.5 hours. That’s twice as fast as before!
We understand that the journey can be exhausting, that’s why we help you arrive smoothly as soon as you get off your flight. Once you book, our team shares the exact route to get safely to Arkana Amazon.
Once you step off the boat, you are greeted by our incredible staff.
Then we welcome you to set foot in our newly thatched entrance hall and settle into your new home.
Pool & Fire Pit
The central social hub of Arkana Amazon is our brand new pool. The Amazon can get hot and buggy, so taking a refreshing dive to cool down will be a daily delight. Afterward, you can rinse off in one of our outdoor showers.
Our fantastic fire pit is the perfect spot to get cozy. Take a breath and lose yourself in the depths of the starry night sky while keeping warm.
When you arrive, you will start to meet the people in your group.
You might have arrived with a solitary experience in mind, which is completely up to you. There is space enough to explore and contemplate on your own.
Yet lots of visitors end up making deep and lasting friendships. Our inviting deck area is where you might meet some of the most incredible people in your lifetime. The call to Ayahuasca unites completely different walks of life and we love being the place that ignites new connections.

Luxurious Jungle Suites
Between ceremonies and socializing, your Suite is the ultimate space to unwind and recenter.
You now have the option to book completely new single Jungle Suites, which means more room just for you.
With natural materials used throughout, you experience the true feeling of the Amazon.
Each Jungle Suite includes:

All en-suite bathrooms are freshly redecorated. Jump into the rain shower or splash some water at your stone vessel sink.

We’ve also overhauled all guest rooms.
Single, Double, and Triple rooms have been expanded and completely redesigned.
All rooms now have luxurious orthopedic memory foam mattresses and larger beds. With down pillows and Pima cotton linens, you’re sure to get some great rest.
And finally: we know that staying connected to your loved ones is so important during this time of transformation. That’s why we’ve built a 100ft tower to boost cellular reception.
Each room now has a stable WIFI connection to the outside world, so you don’t need to worry about losing touch.
Gym
Do you want to maintain your workout routine? Not to fear, our retreat has everything you need. The gym is a bright and breezy space, with 360-degree views of the jungle.

Spa
Is relaxing at the spa more to your liking? If so, our staff is delighted to book one of our 3 treatment rooms for you.
You can go for a classic relaxing or deep tissue massage.
Or if you’re feeling more adventurous, you can request an Amazonian Bone Setting session. This holistic treatment focuses on relieving back, neck and joint pains.
Farm-to-Table Kitchen
Our on-site restaurant, Selva, has been fully transformed with new furnishing, lighting, and equipment. Our new Head of Kitchen serves healthy food that nourishes your body and soul.
We source our ingredients locally, so you know you are getting nutrient-dense meals.
Wake up in the morning and gulp down a fresh smoothie or juice.
Dig into a variety of delicious fruits and veg from the buffet. We have a ton of vegan options available, and everything on the menu is prepared following the Ayahuasca dieta.

Ecology: Toilets and Waste
Arkana’s existence is tied to Mother Nature. When renovating our retreat we did everything to make it a sustainable space. Using the most advanced technologies, we’re able to reduce our carbon footprint and support the conservation of the Amazonian ecosystem.
What exactly did we change?
When heading to any bathroom, you’ll notice state-of-the-art, waterless compostable toilets. We picked the Separett Villa 9215. They’re manufactured in Sweden and are by far the most advanced on the market. By implementing these toilets, we cut our water consumption in half.
We’ve installed automatic pumps and filters, so we can treat wastewater on site. With the help of lasers, we use the latest technology to ensure a true regenerative cycle. Part of the waste is also repurposed as fertilizer for the soil.
By adopting circular practices, we lead by example and live in harmony with the planet.

When walking through our common areas, you’ll notice some incredible murals. They are painted by local Peruvian artist EVEEART and truly connect with the spirit of Ayahuasca.
Arkana is interwoven with Shipibo culture. The way they connect art, their relationship to our planet and plant medicine goes back thousands of years. You’re sure to be inspired by their rich heritage when joining us.
